About me

Hello, My name is Andrea and I live in Swindon, I have a large family of five children, a grandson and a dog. Having children on the spectrum I found myself always looking for strategies to help with anxiety and low moods, I studied counselling skills and I qualified as an Autism Practitioner working with young people on the spectrum.

My first experience with hypnotherapy was when I attended a few sessions for my own anxieties back in 2016 and I found it helpful to my situation at the time. I have always worked in health and social care, working on busy wards and in the community with the NHS but it became too much when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009, which led me to study holistic therapies and meditation to help with pain, this eventually lead me to study hypnotherapy as I heard that it can help with pain management. Self hypnosis has helped with my pain. Becoming a hypnotherapist is the best decision I could have made.

I studied solution focused hypnotherapy with CPHT in Bristol.

My passion in life is horses, I have a foundation degree in Equine sports massage therapy and Equine psychology and spending time around horses is a big part of my life,  I stopped riding in 2019 as my balance and strength was not safe anymore to continue, I also stopped treating horses around this time. I still spend time with my friends horses, I find having something good to look forward to keeps me happy and as mentioned before this is definitely a positive action and interaction, and just thinking about seeing the horses is thinking in a positive way.

I also work alongside a mental health charity in Swindon which helps prevent suicide and supports those who have lost loved ones to suicide, this is a cause close to my heart and I use hypnotherapy to help their service users to overcome low mood, anxiety and stress.
